Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Trading Boy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Trading Boy is a crypto trading journal, context graph, and agent intelligence platform. The Service provides:

• Trade journaling with context snapshots
• Multi-layer market intelligence (price, on-chain, DeFi risk, social, catalysts)
• Adaptive learning engine for signal calibration
• Agent strategy creation, backtesting via context replay, and export
• Daily summaries via email and Telegram
• CLI tool, REST API, and MCP server interfaces

3. Account & API Keys

Each subscription is issued one API key. You are responsible for keeping your API key secure. Specifically:

• Do not share your API key with others
• Do not embed your API key in public repositories or client-side code
• You are responsible for all activity under your API key
• If you believe your key is compromised, contact support immediately

4. Subscription & Billing

Trading Boy is a paid subscription service billed monthly through Stripe.

• Starter — Free
• Pro — $29/month
• Edge — $99/month

Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time via trading-boy billing manage or the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for market manipulation, wash trading, or any illegal activity
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the API
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the backend services
• Share or resell API access to third parties
• Use automated systems to overwhelm the Service infrastructure

Rate limits are enforced per plan tier. Exceeding your plan's limits may result in temporary throttling or suspension.

6. Data & Privacy

What we collect:

• Trade journal entries (decisions, theses, confidence scores, outcomes)
• API usage metrics (request counts, endpoints accessed)
• Email address (for billing and daily summaries)
• Telegram chat ID (if you connect the bot)

What we do NOT collect:

• Wallet private keys or seed phrases
• Exchange credentials or API keys for exchanges
• Personal financial information beyond what you voluntarily log

Your data is stored on a Hetzner VPS in the EU. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Your journal data is scoped to your tenant and inaccessible to other users.

7. Disclaimers

• We are not responsible for any trading losses you incur
• Past performance of signals, strategies, or context patterns is not indicative of future results
• Cryptocurrency markets are highly volatile — you can lose your entire investment
• You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions
• The Service operates on paper trading only — it does not execute real trades

8. Beta Status & Limitation of Liability

Trading Boy is currently in BETA. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding reliability, accuracy, or availability.

• The Service may change features, pricing, or functionality at any time
• The Service may experience downtime, data loss, or errors
• We reserve the right to pivot, restructure, or shut down the Service based on market conditions

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRADING BOY AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

9. Intellectual Property

• The Trading Boy platform, brand, and proprietary algorithms are our intellectual property
• Your trade journal data, strategies, and exported configurations belong to you
• You grant us a limited license to process your data solely for providing the Service

10. Open Source Attribution

Trading Boy incorporates open-source software. We gratefully acknowledge:

• Hermes Agent by Nous Research — MIT License
• Other open-source dependencies as listed in our package manifests

11. Termination

• You may cancel your subscription at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period
• We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms
• Upon termination, your API key is revoked and access ceases immediately
• You may request export of your journal data before cancellation

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
